You are here: Moshi Monsters creator Mind Candy and Habbo Hotel developer Sulake are not likely to float shares anytime soon, preferring to build their respective businesses amongst a flurry of IPO talk and sky-high social valuations.
Speaking to Reuters, both firms indicated it’s too soon to go public, while Angry Birds creator Rovio has also seemingly cooled plans to become listed on Nasdaq.
“I just want to keep my head down and build an amazing brand without getting too distracted by the offers of IPOs(habbohotel coins), investment bankers and discussions with media companies,” said Michael Acton Smith, CEO of Mind Candy.
The collaboration relies on a heavy cross-media communication scheme which sees Habbo Hotel promoted on the various platforms of Groupe M6 and on the hit shows broadcast on its family of channels.
World-renowned talent show X Factor has earned a presence on the virtual community thanks to M6 Web(habbo credits). A TV studio with a specific, dedicated on-air design will entertain the show’s fans on Habbo with quizzes about the programme as well as chats with high-profile figures on the show (the candidates, the judges…).
